RALPH'S TAUPIRI COAL MINES.

(by telegraph.—own correspondent). Auckland, Last Night. The secretary of Ralph's Taupiri Coal Company, Mr M. A. Phillips, leturned by the Mahiuapua from the South. He visiied the Kaitangata colliery, and carefully noted the excellent system cf working and management there adopted. Mr Thomas Snow, at present mine mauager of the Wailii South Goldminiug Company's property, has been appointed manager of Ralph's Taupiri Mines. Mr Snow is a certificated colliery manager, and it was he who first opened the dip at Ralph's mines before the property passed into the hands of the company. All the preliminaries have been completed to enable coal to be delivered next May. Satisfactory arrangements have bten made regarding railway accommodation at Huntly and Auckland.
