The Waikato Argus Office, Wednesday. McNICOL AND CO.'S OHAUPO SALE On Tuesday, at Messrs McNicol and Co.'s sale, "there was a big muster of cattle, about 650 head, mostly of a good quality and condition. Two and a-half-year-old steers weic well represented, there being several pens of that class, all showing breeding and in condition. Calves were numerous, nearly all of good quality, for which there was a good demand at fair prices. Grown steers were also fairly represented, for which there was a demand. No dairy cows offered. The tone of the market was steady, with an upward tendency. Beef sold at about Auckland pries. With the exception of one pen of calves, every bcist was sold. The following prices were obtained :—Eighteen months to two-year-old steers, from 33s to 45s ; a Hue of about 50 two and a-half-year-old steers, £2 17s 6d ; grown steers, in forward condition, from £4 3s to £5 ; youug empty cows, from £2 Is to £2 8s; three-year-old steers, from £3 10s to £4 10s; well-bred dives, mixed sexes, in good condition, 23s ; Hercfords do., 21s ; several pens of calves sold at from 13s 6 1 to 17s 6d : empty heifers from 30a to £2 ss; fat cow s and heifers from £3 5s to £4.—(Ohaupo Correspondent).
