EXPERIMENTAL FARM.
(BY telegraph.—own correspondent) Wellington, Last Night. Mr Ritchie, Secretary of the Agricultural Department, on his way from Auckland, inspected the experimental farm at Momohaka, an! reported favourably. He is preparing a report for the Miuister for Lands, on the question of establishing a general experimental station within 15 or 20 miles of Auckland and the horticultural and fruit staN tion at Whangarei ; no site for the former has yet been agreed upon, £12,000 being demanded for the most suitable site, which is out of the question.
