HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL .

The usual monthly meeting was held yesterday afternoon. Present : His Worship the Mayor (Mr VV. Dey) and Crs. Salmon, Davis, Tippin and Tristram. Foreman’s Report. —The report was received. Dog Tax. -Cr. Davis moved that a return of the fees rec?ived for dog tax be placed upon the cable at each meeting of the Council.—The Clerk was instructed to see that the collector’s book be placed on the table at each meeting of the Council. Vote of Sympathy.— His Worship the Mayor moved and Cr. Salmon seconded, “ That the Council puss a vote of sympathy with Cr. GWynne in his sad bereavement,’ —Tk : s was carried unanimously. Accounts. —The following accounts were passed for payment J. Ridler, £5 17s ; Gas Company, £5 5s ; Hamilton Gas Company (hotel mantels), 14s 6d ; Maunder, £i 6s 81 ; Lewis O’Neill, £9 ; Kauri Timber Company, £l7 19s 2d; W. Andrews, 9s. The Council then rose. HAMILTON DOMAIN BOARD. A meeting of the Domain Hoard was held .subsequently, but no business of importance was considered.
