Mb P. R. Dix's concert and kinematograph entertainment given in the Volunteer Hall, Hamilton, rn Saturday night, attracted a large audience. Mr Earnest Schatz, Auckland's celebrated comic artist, was doubly encored for his songs. " The Welshman at the Pantomine," and " By the Sad Sea Waves," and he delighted the audience with " The Giddy L'ttle Polka," " She Always Dressed in Black," and " They Wouldn't Do For Me." The kinematograph exhibition was well received, and the sporting pictures, showing the Melbourne Cup, etc., were grceteel with enthusiasm. The myrioramic scenes were remarkhbiy clear, aud lifelike, and could not fail to please. The accompaniments were played by Miss Thompson and Miss Sop"pet, of Hamilton, and Mr Dix publicly thanked the latter for her assistance. On Sunday evening a charming little sacred concert was given, the hall again being filled to oveiflowing point. Some beautiful pictures of the Holy Land and the " Pussier! Play " at Ol eramagau were shown. Miss Thomson sang " The Laft Milestone" and " The Better Land," Mr Dix " The Holy City," and Mr Schatz " Ora Pro Nobis " and " The Wayfarer."
