ST. ANDREW'S, CAMBRIDGE.

The harvest festival services were held in the above Church on Friday evening and again ou Sunday. On Friday the preacher was the Rev. L. Fitzgerald, of St. Matthew's. Auckland, and on Sunday, Archdeacon Willis officiated on eich occasion. There were large congregations, indeed on Sunday evening the Church was crowded. Jackson's canticles were sung and Tallis' responses ; Mrs Lowe ably presided at the organ. The decorations were profuse arul pretty, notwithstanding the scarcity of flowers caused by the excessively dry weather we have experienced of late. The reredos was decorated in a handsome manner by Miss Ewen, the design being worked out with different varieties of corn in a very pleasing way. Mrs Wells' decoration of the pulpit was particularly chaste, the combination of fruit and flowers being very effective. The predominant colour of the flowers and foliage was a species of lavender, which is seldom seen in Church decoration. The front was decorated by Miss Effie Willis in a bold but yet artistic manner, that was greatly admired. The other portions of the decorations were on the usual lines, and were executed by a number of lady workers, to whom much credit is due.
