The Waikato Argus Ofkicr, Mor.d »y. MR W. J. HUNTER'S SHEEP FAIR. Mb W. J. Hunter reports at the sheep fair, held at Ohaupo on Wednesday, February lGth. Between 20,000 and 25.000 sheep yarded. The quality of sheep exceed expectation, and with few exceptions, were a first-class lot ; the fat sheep, some 3000, were a really fine lino and all sold. Competition was brisk and nearly all were so'd under the hammer, and the sale just btforc dark, but too late to offer rams, which were sold uext day, They were ac exceptionally good lot and sold well, very few being passed ; Mr C. Barnball, of Waiuku, topping the market at five guineas, and Mr W. Flavill, from the same place, coming next at four and a-. half guineas ; about 200 sold.
