SALE OF GROWN LANDS.
(B\ TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, Last Night. A sale of Crown lands in the Whangarei, Waitemata and Taupiri districts was held this morning. There was no competition for the lots offered, aud all sold were disposed of at the upset prices. Section 29, Block IV., Opuawhanga Survey District, about 230 acres of broken forest land, containing 1,160,000 feet of kauii timber, was purchased by MrO. \V. Bissei for £340; Section 4, Ararimu parish, Waitemata County, about four miles from HeleDSville, containing 40 acres 3 roods 8 perches, wjs bought by Messrs J. and W. H. Drinon for £4l. Lots 49 and 62, Taupiri Village, were passed in. Mr G. T. Worthington purchased Lot 07, in the same village, fit £lO. Lots 73 and 74 were sold to Davys Bros, at £lO each, aud Lo:s 75, 76 and 77 to the same purchasers at £7 each. Lots 68 and 69, each 2 roods 16 perches, fell to Mr G. Worthington at £l2 per Lot. Lots 70, 2 roods 11 perches, £ll ss; Lot 9, 1 rood 39 perches, £10; and Lot 72, 1 rood 37 perches, £lO, were bought by Messri Davys Bros.
