AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.
(by telegraph—own correspondent). Auckland, Last Night Business showed a marked improvement on Exchange, there being transactions both in standard stocks and better class mining shares. May Queens weie dealt in at 6s 8d and 6s 9d, with further buyers at 69 6 d ; Moanatairis sold at 8s 3d, at which price mora shires could have been placed ; Grace Darlings changed hands at 2», and Bunkers Hills were dealt in at IQi 2d. o.vii'g to good niws frwn the mine, an enquiry set in for Barrier Reefs, 3s being offered for paid up shares, no selling price quoted ; buyers of Wailekauri shares advanced another shilling, 35s being offered, but there were none available under 40s ; Komata reefs and Waihi-Silvertons wera both enquired for at 7s 61, and Woodstocks at 225. There was more enquiry for lower price mining shares. Iu standard stocks transactions took place in New Zealand Insurance shares at (:7s 6d aud 67s 9d, with steady buyers at 67s ; Nationals were aaked for at 16s 6d, being an advance of 3d. Buyers of South British increased, their offers to 50s 6d, being an advance of 6d. Better prices were also offered for Devouport Ferry shares, but noue were available at 355. Transactions also took place in New Zealand Drug Company shares at 48s 4d, with turther buyers at 48i.
