Mr Hartley's hunter Laddie put up a record iu leaping yesterday under rather sensational circumstances, A train approaching from Auckland frightened the horse, which galloped across the line and jumped clean over the embankment, a sheer drop of 41 feet. Mr Hartley was pleasantly surprised to learn that Laddie's injuries were slight, some hair being scraped off his knees and his lip slit across.
