AUCKLAND AMATEUR ATHLETIC TEAM.
(BY TKLKGRAPn—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, Last Night. The representatives of the Auckland Amateur Athletic Club, who competed at the recent Championship Meeting at Wanganui, returned to-day, and were driven into town with the champion banner waving above then;. This afteruoou, at the Metropolitan Hotel, the team were welcomed home by the Vice-President of the Club (Mr George) who said that the Glut) were justly proud of the success of their representatives. The team had yet another task before them, however, the Club having invited Messrs Roseingrave and Rowley, the well-known Sydney athletes, to compete at the March Carnival. Auckland carried off seven championships, G. Smith securing two, D. Wilson two, and Oliphaut, Skinner, and Eruera one each. Smith scored 15 points, Wilson 12, Oliphant and MeKean 9 each, Skinner and Madill 7 each, Laurie and Eruera 6 each, Dickey 2, and A. E. George I, the total number of points scored being 74,
