Ratuut Day.—On Wednesday last, the monthly rabbit skin pay day, the weather was tine, and a large number of skins was again forthcoming Bunness was brisk with the mt:ve3 and the trades people here. Sale Day. -Mr Hunter's sale in the Town Yards on Saturday last was fairly well attended, and the entries were (as regards catt'e at least) very good, and a fair proportion of them wa3 disposed of at ruling pi ices. I lizard a very general expre?s : ou of opinion that if intending vendors would have their stock entered and advertised beforehand, the attendance of buyers would be generally much better at the sales herp. Bijou Com pant.—This talented company played here on Friday and Saturday last. On the former occasion the attendance was only small, for the p rformauce had not been made ccnerally known ; but. they had a good home on Saturday night, everyone being well pleased with the entertainment provided, and several items caused roars of laughter. Anglican Ciiorcii.—At a meeting of the vestry of Christ Church, K'liikthi, held recently, it was decided ,to appoint a verger, and arrangements were made so that eveiything may be in order when the newly-appointed vicar (the Rev. Mr Kayll) arrives to take charge of the Waikato West Parish. A social or promenade concert by way of a welcome to this part of the parish is under consideration. —(Own Correspondent).
