(BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT). AncKXAND, List Night. The Landing Hotel at Tainrn was burned down on Saturday evening. The fire broke out in the upper storey while the inmates w< re at their evening meal (low n3'airs. The adjoining store was burned down, but the hull and hotel stoblei were saved. The hotel was owued by Mr Laycock, sen., and was cccnp : cd by his son. The building was insured for £1220 in the Commercial Union. The total insurance on the store and other buildiugs was £I6OO.
