The following " ines sasje from the sea " Wi.s found on the 3rd in 3 t., by Mr Horace Walker, at Irwin's gap, three miles south of Manukau Heads. " William Wakeham.ship Lowtlv.r Castle, New York, for Sydney, August lOtb, IS9G. Latitude, 46 40:nin south-cast ; longtmle I'l 31min. east." The bottle had drifted about 4700 miles.
