Messrs Alfred Bucklan d an d Sons' :Weekly Report.—At the Haymarket, oaten sheaves have brought 2s 9d ; meadow, liay,-3a and 3s 6d the cwt ; wheat straw, £1 to £1 7s tho. load; chaff, £4 12s 6d and £4 153 ; rock salt, £4; pressed hay, £3 10s ; blood manure, £5 ; Chesterfield guano, £3 10s ; bonedust, £6 15s the ton. Maize, 2s lid ; oats, 2s 6d the bushel ; maize, on wharf, 2s 7d to 2s 9d the butihel. On Friday, horse stock were at late values. Useful strong draught ranged from £l2 to £23 30a; strength, £6 to £9 each ; buggy • horse aud harness, £23 10s ; spring cart, 1 £8; buggy harness, £1 14s and £3 53, were of the things sold. Consequent on the wool sale the usual fale of hides did • not take place. At the cattle sales, held respectively at Pokeno and Drnry, .there were not as many yarded as usual ; harvest operations beiug general will account for it. Dairy cows at or . near : calving were firm at late values ; weaned calves in better demand, grown cattle at low relative values. At the wool 6ales on Wednesday prices obtained, with the exception of lambs, -were, in our opinion, fully equal to those Ruling in the first sale. All clean wools sold freely at the auction. Those with-' " drawn were from recently - occupied r stations, and more or less dirty, and - consequently wasteful. At Remuera on : Thursday dairy cattle yarded numerously/were not required,' and at low : -valuee. Calves, in short supply, were ; at twice the values obtained in the past three weeks, Fat oattle in full numbers, 293 sold were at uniform values throughout the sale, from coarse oxen 123 6d to 'choice steers 15a the 1001 b ; cows varying with quality, from 10s to 12s 6d the 1001 b ; prices for steeis varied from £4 7s '. 6d to £8 ; cows, £2 15* to £4 15s each. Fat sheep iu moderate number, 950 sold were firm at late quotations. Ewes brought from 7s to 9s -p, wethers, 8s 6d to 10s 9d eneh. 'Lambs in average num- ; - her, 370 sold were required, and brought from 5s 9d to 9s 3d each. Pigs scarcely . represented, sold well. Porkers brought from 13s to 34s each.
