Barometer: Further fall everywhere, but rising at places north of Auckland after twelve hours. Sea heavy on West Coast of South Island, and north of New Plymouth, also heavv south of Napier. Titles high on West Coast of both islands, and between Castle Point and Port Chalmers. Northerly gales and rain are to be expected north of Lyttelton and Hokitika, and strong south wind and rain elsewhere.
