STIPENDIARY MAGISTRATE'S COURT, CAMBRIDGE.
Friday. (Before Captain Jackson, S.M.) Civil Cases.—James Shirley, of Putaruru, v. H. Lcgreue, of Ngatira. Claim, £8 3s Id, for goods supplied. No appearance of defendant. £1 had been paid since the summons had been issued, so judgment was given for £7 3s Id and costs £3 2s 61.—Ernest Mullins v. Geo. McCann, both of Cambridge. Claim, £1 10s for wages. Pirt of the amount was for wages in lieu of no'.ice. It appeared that plaintiff was discharged by Mrs McCann, while her husband was away from home. Defendant said he did not think it worth while to bring witnesses, and consequently he was mulcted in £1 2a 6d and 7s costs. In both the above cases Mr W. F. Buckhad appeared for the plaintiffs. '
