AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.
(liX TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT), Auckland, Last Night. More business was transacted on the Exchange to-day. A parcel of down shares changed hands at 21s. Grace Darlings were in demand at 2s and Shendans at Is. Inquiry was made for Alphas at 2s 6d. May Queens were firm with buyers at 7 s and Purus at 2s 2d. Moanataris were asked for at Ss 9d, a s'iglit advance on yesterday's offers Waihi Grand Junction t-hares firmed in p. ice, 7s o\l being offered, but no sales resulted. Amongst the cheaper stocks May Queen Extendeds and Oliiuemuris sold freely at 3d and 3Jd. Inquiry set in for Progress-Castle Rocks at low figures. Standard stocks had good demand, New Zcalaud Accidents being sold at 21s 3d, with further buyers at 20s 9d. Buyers of New Zealand Insurance shares advanced their pi ice to Cos Cd ex div., while 50.3 was again offered for South Biitish. River Plato shares were slightly firmer, and 153 2d was offeivd without transactions resulting. Tanpiri Coal shares were asked for at 20s 6d. Other stocks had no change.
