SOUDAN CAMPAIGN.

General William Gatacre, at present commanding the district of the Bombay Ar.ny, has been selected to the command of the British Brigade in the Soudan. A detachment of the Brigade has been sent to the front. Tho Maltese have offered to provide 1000 men for service in the Soudan.

A postal service has been established between Suakim, Berber, and Kassala.
