CAMBRIDGE WESLEYAN CIRCUIT
Thk quarterly meeting of the Cambridge Wes'eyan Circuit was held in the schoolroom, adjoining the Church, on Thursday, January 6th. There was a fair attendance of officers bearers.
The balance-sheet, though ir.complcta, promise I to be lrghly satisfactory. The officers for the ensuing year were elected :—Mr M. Butler taking the position of Circi'it Steward, vice Mr R. Reynolds ; otherwise there was no change. The fortnightly service hitherto held at Hautapu, was suspended for the present. Arrangements were made for holding a foreign missionary service on Wednesday. January 20th, when Rev. W. blade, of Fiji, will be the deputation. It was cgreed that Sunday, February 6th, be the date of the harvest festival. The trustees of the Cambridge West Church were recommended to grant Miss Hooper the use of the building for a Sunday evening service during the summer months. The next quarterly meeting was fixed for M.srcli 31st. Is was decided to hold a soc al on that day, to give the friends an opportunity o? saying Lreweli to their minister, Rev. L. Hudson, whose time expires in April. Mr T. Jackson, M.A., head master tf the Prince Albert College, Auckland, will take the morning service at St. Paul's Cambridge, to-morrow. Moir, blacksmiths, Huntly, advertise for a loft mare. Owner wanted for a Waterbury watch found on the Ohaupo Road, Hamilton Mr Chittenden, Oliat po, offers a reward of 10s for the iccovcry of a lost gelding. The Hun'ly Road Board notify that an additional 10 per cent, will be charg d on all rates outs'as dh'g en the Ist February. Mr C. Marwcod, Ngaruawahia, ra quests that all claims against him be sent in forthwith to Mr A. Swarbriok, solicitor, Hamilton. The island of Malta has a language of its own, derived from the Catthagioian and Arabian tongues. The nobility of the island speak Italian. All the local lodie3 in the Waipa, Waikato, Piako and Raglan Counties advertise in The Waikato Akcjus. This in itself, proves that the Akgus is the best advertising medium.
