Wellington, January 6th.—Weather forecast for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day. Wind: Between south-east and south and west at all places northward of East Cape, Taupo, and Matiukau, and between south anil east at all other places northward of Eist Cape, Taupo and Manukau, fall slowly everywhere else. Sea: Heavy swell on all East Coast, moderate on all Western Coasts. Tides good, and increasing on East Coast southward of East Cape. Moderate to fresh easterly winds are to be expected in all parts of the country.
