A HOSPITAL FAILURE CURED.
DOCTORS DUMBFOUNDED AND SPECIALISTS STUPEFIED. The following case was treated in vain at one of Sydney's hrgo hospitals, but was cured at Inst by Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pal-People. Mr John Burgess, resides at 5S Ivystreet, Darliugton, has been in business there for a number of years as a greengrocer, and is well-known and respected by the inhabitants of that populous suburb. In conversation with our reporter, he recently made the following interesting and surprising statement : " I have been an invalid for over nine years, suffering from hip-joint disease and sciatica. The primary cause of my great sufferings was being thrown out of a cab «vhi!st on my way to Botany, the accident being'dne to the defectiie state of the tramway line. Falling on my aide, I seriou-dy injured my hip. I became an inmate of Prince Alfred Hospital for sixmonths, and was at last discharged as incurab'e. Since then I have had no less than three different doctors, and they all pronounced the same opinion, Diimely, that my case was hope'ess ; in fact, the last doctor who a* tended me stated that he did not wish to visit me any longer, as it wa3 simply taking money out of my pocket to put into his, with nit being able to afford me the s'ighlest relief. Sciatica then set in with its attendant agonizing pains, first in the hip and then appeared to shoot to the call of the lee and to the foot. I had no desire for foo 1, sleep was a matter of sheer impossibility, and instead of getting bettvr I grew gradually worse. I could not move without the aid of crutches, and at last I was forced to take to my bed. As a drowning man clutches at a straw, I then proceeded to try all sorts of patent medicines and fpecific3. I might as well hive kept the money in my pocket, for nene of them did mo the slightest good. I feared I was a cripple for life, and hopelessly bed-ridden. Relief, however, reached me at the eleventh hour, and in the most unexpected manner. A lady, residing : n this neighbourhood, induced me to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People. I must confess I regarded her advice as a forlorn hope, but it was a fortunate and hippy day when I commenced to take these pills, for from Uie first box I commenced to steadily improve. I must add that my long illness had seriously affected my business, for competition is so keen in this neighbourhood that unless I can diive my horse and cart around I lose my customers, as they will not come to my shop to purchase. After seven boxes of Pink Pdls, I was able to get up and dress, and after the eighth box could go to market with my horse and cart, arid afterwards serve my customers. This speaks for itself, and when a man can conscientiously state that this wonderful recovery is due entirely to the Pick Piils of Dr. Williams', it should silence sceptics and induce other sufferers who endure the tortmnts that I did to give this wonder fill preparation a fair and honest trial, as I can truly state it has succeeded in put ting me on my legs aga : n." " * Have we your permission to publish this statement of your illness and recovery, Mr Butgess ?' " Yes ; you are quite at liberty to publish it, for I believe in giving credit to whom credit is due, with a fair field and no favour. "(Signed) JOHN BURGESS."
