(by telegraph.—own correspondent). ArcKhANP, Last Night. Transactions were more numerous on the Exchange to-day. Alburnh sha-es were dealt in at 4s, with further buyers left, but no sellers under 4s od. Sheridans changed lnn.ls at Is 01, and Grace Darlings sold at 2s and 2s Id. Imperial shares also advanced, sales being made at Is and Is Id. Victorias firmed in price, transactions being reported at IOJd, with further buyers at lOd. Sales were made in Ohincmuri Syndicates at ss, while ISs 6d was offered for Woodstocks and lis 3d for Talis mans. A few sales were al o made in May Queen Extendcds, Talesman Exteudeds, Oliincmuris and Waihi Consols at low rates. Investing stocks had a moderate demand, the only transactions reported being New Zeiland Insurance shares at 70', at which price more shares could have readily been placed. The Auckland Exchange closed this afternoon until Wednesday morning, January sth, IS9S.
