The following Stallions will stend at the Stables, Lochiel, and travel the surrounding districts. Season 1897. ROYAL CONQUEROR (Bred by Thomas Mee, Esq., Oaniaru). Sire, Ckowk Peisce—Dam, Farmer's Fancy. This grand sire is already well known io the district, and his stock are giving undeniable promise of being the very best in the district, and he can be confidently recommended to intending breeders as a thoroughly reliable sire in every way. Royal Conqueror was shown ten times, winning three Champions, six Firsts and four Seconds —a really successful record. BETTER TIMES (Bay coll; four years. Bred by J. Mitchell, Esq., Oaniaru}. Sire, Hard Times—Dam, Jean. This is one of, if not the, very best quality colt that ever came to Waikato. He stands 16 hands 1 inch, and is most strongly and compactly built on very short legs of first-class quality, with tip. top feet, docile temper, and most excellent action. This grand promising young sire will be limited to 45 mares. His list is being quickly filled, so that intending breeders wishing to use this sire would do well to book their mares as early as possible to save disappointment. Better Times was shown eight times, winning one Champion, seven Firsts, and one Second. Terms for Royal Conqueror and Better Times : Single mares, 4 guineas ; two or more, property of one owner, 3J guineas. Two guineas at end of season, balance if mares prove in foal. Lot ot five mares, one free. ROB ROY (Bred by A. Wallace, Esq). Sire, Jock o' Haseldean Dam, Blossom. He stands 17 hands high, with heavy bone, of clean good quality, with splendid feet ; a bay in colour, with a most docile temper, and has excellent action. He has been in the show-ring three times, winning First Prize as a Yearling, Second as a Two-year-old, and First as a Three-year-old, at Auckland A. and P. Shows of 1894-5-6. Rob Rot is descended from successful prize-winning stock on both sire and dam sides, so that the combination of successful strains he can lay claim to cannot fail to produce a beneficial effect upon stock got by him, and breeders would do well to see this colt before making other arrangements for coining season. Terms : Single mare, 3 guineas ; two or more, 2J guineas each. Lots of five, one mare free. THOROUGHBRED STALLION LOOHINVAR. Sire, Envoy—Dam, Yellowstone. LOOKIKVAS is a beautiful mahogany chestnut in colour, stands 16 hands 1 irch, has the best of legs and feet, a thoroughly sound constitution, with a moat docile temper and unsurpassed action. The stock got by this horse (now yearling!) are very promising indeed, and intending breeders would do well to see the stock before making arrangements for placing their mares, as the stock are the best proof of the worth of a sire, PJNFIRE. Sire, Torpedo—Dam, Yatterisa. Pintire is a beautiful whole bay in colour, with black points, and is a most symmetrically-made horse, with grand constitution, and he proved himself a fast racehorse, having, amongst other races, an Auckland Cup to his credit. He has proved a sure foal-getter, and his stock are very promising. A number of them hare already been prize-winners in the show riag. Terms for Lochinvar and Pinfire : 2£ guineas each mare ; half payment at end of season, balance when mares prove in foal. Particulars as to routes in future advertisement.
