GERMANY AND CHINA.
Shanghai, December 7. rTwo hundred German marines, with two Machine guns, seized the city of Kaio-chau. The Chmose inhabitants retreated. It is believed that Germany will endeavour to obtain a lease •f Port Kaio-chau from China, but Eubmh's approval of the project is uncertain. China, hoping to secure the evacuation of Kaio-chau, has agreed to Germany's demands for exclusive mining and railway privileges in the Shantung Peninsula.
