THE HARAPIPI MURDER.

AnoKLAM), Last Night. nEiNRicH Pohlen, the old man who stands charged with the murder of Patrick Corcoran at Harapipi, has, from the frequency of his appearances at the Police Court, grown quite aseustomed to it. The old fellow shuffled into the dock once more this morning, and listened once aga'*n to the now familiar charge. The first time Pohlen appeared lie leaned over the dock and denied the charge, hut to day he merely nodded his head and smiled to himself. Sergt. Clarke a ked for a further remand until the 18th inst. It had been arranged that the case could bo heard on the 23rd December at Tc Awamutu. and accused could be brought up on the 18th, and be formally remanded to that township. Mr Hutchison, S.M., wanted to know how often the man wai going to be remanded. The Sergeant explained that there was a great difficulty in collecting witnesses, and further, that the accused's solicitor had agreed to the adjournment. Pohlen, when the question was put to him, said he had no objection to the remand, which was therefore granted.
