Sir, —Can at,y of the readers of The Annus explain how it was that in the late shooting case at Harapipi the deed was done at about 11 am, Constable Jones was seen driving in a bu»gy at Te Rore on his way to Harapepe about 4 p.m., and by the constable's own evidence at the coroner's inquest Pohlen was not arrested till 10 p.m. The man was at large nearly the whole of the day with a loaded gun. If anyone can explain the above, as Te Rore is about four miles from Harapepe, they will oblige
