(BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT). New Plymouth, Last Night. The Taranaki Herald correspondent at Pungarehu wired that at six o'clock this morning Constable Hickman received information that a Maori woman named Kohirangi had died suddenly at Parihaka.

Constable Hickman went to Parihaka, and seeing the body immediately concluded it to be a case of murder. The body was lying in a wharc with a fearful gash behind the right car. The body had been found outsid',', and was carried in by the natives. Constable Hickman fr rested the husband of the deceased, named Enoke. Inspector McGovern left at once to investigate the affair.
