THE KOROMATUA BRIDGE.

TO TJIK EDITOK. Sir, —I desire to call the attention of the Waipa County Council to the extremely dangerous condition of the Koromatua Bridge approaches. Since the erection of the new bridge the earthworks have never been completed, and the bridge now is, in reality a platform, some three feet above the road level. About a fortnight ago my horse, when in the cart, came down, and but for the timely assistance of some of my neighbours, the result might have been serious to me. Since then another settler's horse came down, and in addition to his horse breaking his knees, both shafts of his cart, were broken and all his milk lest. The work of completion should have been taken in hand immediately fine weather set in, and if the Council do not attend to the place at once some serious accident will occur there.—l am, etc. Wm. Livingstone.
