The Waikato Argus Office, Wednesday. MR W. J. HUNTER'S OHAUPO SALE. On Tuesday at Mr W. J. Hunter's sale about 30(1 head of cattle were yarded, including fifteen bulls and about thirty dairy cows. Most of the former were sold at fair prices. Dairy cows seemed down a little in price, but for those of a good class there is still a demand. Calves and young stock were fairly numerous. Empty cows were in demand, and those of a good class and in condition sold well ; in fact many more could have been placed. Not many grown steers were offered, but there is still a demand for anything in that line of a good class, provided they show condition. Beef also sold well. The following prices were obtained :-Bulls : 1 at £3 10s ; 1 at £4 ; 1 yearling bull, £2 10* ; I eighteen-inonths-old bull, £4 2s Gd ; 1 two-year-old, £7 2s 6d. Dairy cows, from £3 to £4 14s ; springing heifers, from £2 10s to £3 l">s ; good steer calves, 20s ; small springing heifers, from £2 2s to t'2 9s ; yearling steers, from 25s to 30s ; IS-months-old steers, from 30s to 34s ; small calves, ISs ; grown steers in cood condition, £5 Is ; three-year-old steers, £3 Ss ; two-year-old do., £2 18s ; empty cows, from £2 2s to £2 10s, with a good demand ; empty heifers, from £1 15s to £2 10s.
