Mr Alexander Aitken's Revort.— Good high prices are obtainable for pigs and fruit. The former are selling well, viz., suckers 6s 6d to lis, weaners 9s 6d to 14s, porkers 14s to 31s, while gooseberries are in demand to-day at from 2jd to 4d, and should be sent in as quickly as possible. A few cases of cherry plums sold at Sd per lb. privately. Loqnats, 3d to 4d ; lemons, Is lOd to 2s 7d for half size, and 2s lOd to os for full size cases. New kidney potatoes are worth gd to Id per lb ; shepherds, f d to -|d ; old potatoes, 2s to 3s per cwt; peas, Is to Is 6d per peck ; piemelous, 5s per cwt; cauliflowers, 3s 6d to 4s (id per dozen; carrots are very scarce, but are wanted at from £1 15s to £2 5s for red, and £1 10s to £1 15s for white varieties. Local chaff is selling well at £3 15s to £5 us; oats, 2* 3d to 2s 6d per bushel ; maiz», 2s 3d to 2s 6d per bushel ; bran, £3 15s to £4 per ton ; sharps, £3 10s to £3 15s per ton. Butter, in rolls, locally made, is iairly plentiful, selling at from ohi to 6|d per lb ; keg ditto, if good, 6d to 7d per lb ; eggs are again getting firmer, and sold at Cd to 7£d per dozen ; section honey, strong demand, 4s Cd to Gs per dozen ; bulk ditto, 2J,d to 3d per lb. Dairy bacon selling at 5d to Gj-d per lb ; hams, 7d to 7£d per lb ; local cheese, 4id to 5-Jd per lb ; factory cheese, 4d to Cd per lb ; pork, 3d to 3fd per lb ; rabbits, Is 4d per pair ; hares, Is 6d to 2s each. Poultry is rather plentiful, and the following prices were realized : —Table roosters, Is lid to 2s lOd each ; cockerels, la 4d to Is lOd each ; hens, Is 3d to 2s Id each ; geese, 2s 3d to 3s Id each; ducks, Is 4d to 2s 9d each ; ducklii)gs,4d to lid each ; hens and broods, Is Cd to 5s each ; turkey, gobblers, 4s 9d to & Id each ; hens, 2s to 3s lid each ; pigeons, 6d to lid each ; canaries, 3s to 5s 6d each ; and for special singers, 15s each.
