THE AUCKLAND SHOW.
The second clay of the Auckland Provincial Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Show was held under tho most favourable conditions c.n Saturday. The day was beautifully fine, and the attendance at Potter's Paddosk was a record one. The judging was completed in the morning, and the afternoon devoted to the parades and various driving and riding competitions. The public found ample occupation between the events in viewing the different exhibits or inspecting the varied displays of agricultural and other implements arranged on the grounds. There were six ladies entered for the leaping match, in which Mrs E. H. Kelly on Playboy and Miss Taylor on Ike were bracketed first, tbe judges being unable to separate them. The gentlemen's competition, for which there were fourteen entries, was won by Mr V. Meagher on Rainbow, Mr C. Bridson on Playboy being second, and Mr M. Briggs on Ned third. The following are the awards ill the various classes which had not been judged in time to appear in our last issue : HORSES. ROADSTERS. Filly or gelding three years old— Iv. Morrison's P.inker, 3. Hack up to list.—W. K. Carters Neddy, 2. CARRIAGE nO&SES. Pair of horses under 15 hands 2 inches. —Rotorangi Estate's Meta and Mona, 1. Horse, mare, or gelding under 15 bands 2 inches— W. K. Carter's Harold, 2 ; Mark Harrison's Doreen, 3. CATTLE. SHORTHORNS. Heifer or yearling—W. Taylor's Leonora VIII., 1 ; Woodlands Estate's Larkspur V, 2. SHEEP. LINCOLN'S. Ram, 4-tooth and upwards—J. Barugh, 2. LEICESTERS. Champion ram—Woodlands Estate. fat snEEr. Pen of live longwool wethers of most money value 4-tooth or under W. Newell, 1. The sheep dog competition was won by Mr W. Newcll's Rowdy, which beat seventeen others.
