ENGINEERS' STRIKE.
London, November 12. The Engineers' Society is urging the appointment of Lord James of Hereford, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, as chairman of the forthcoming Conference. November 111. The Times states that the employers are firmly determined to resist outside pressure. The chairman states that the Federation is not inflexible on the questions of bouts and wages, but rigid with regard to management and productiveness, and determined that the output of machinery shall not be restricted. The preliminary conference takes place or Monday.
