McGregor, of Oamaru, and gained many prizes at the local shows ; was by Lord Haddo, dam Maggie, by Muir Lad (imp) Lord Haddo was first shown as a yearling at Oamaru and gained second prize ; as a two-year-old he also gained second prize at Oamaru in a very large ring ; as a three-year old he gained the first prize at Oamaru, and the following year he carried off the first prize ami Champion ticket, beating five imported stallions. Lord Haddo is by the famous imported sire Young Banker, out of the imported Clydesdale mare Lady Haddo. Also, The Purebred Clydesdale Entire, LOT II AIR, Will stand at Mr C. Lake's farm, neir Broadmeadows. anil will travel on Mondays : To Eureka, through Tamahere Tuesdays : At home Thursdays: Pukckura and home Fridays : Hautapu LoTHAin, by Duke of Uuceleugh (imp), was bred by Mr John Crigg, of Longl.each. He stands 10 hands high, and is a fine powerful horse of a rich bay colour, with immense bone and substance and of a splendid constitution. Lotiiaiu is now I,"> years old, and has been used on the station for the last eight or nine years, and his stock, both in the show-ring and saleyard as well as at work, have proved the bsst in the district.
