—e, _ A CONVICTION QUASHED. (P.V TELEGRAPH.—-OWN CORRESPONDENT) Dunkuis, Last Night. Mi: Justice Williams gave judgment to-day "ii the argument to quash the conviction of Itobcrt Rice, for trespass on tlie Foibury racecourse. The Judge decided that the warning uiven on Thursday was not applicable to tlie trespass on Saturday of the same week. Jle said it was impossible to hold that the trespass on Saturday was anything else than an entirely new trespass, and the circumstance tint the land was being used for the same purpose on each occasion did not lender the trespasses less distinct, lie held, therefore, that the conviction was wrung.
