THE WOOL FREIGHT.

Mu Maix has received the following telegram from Mr Foster from Wellington : " See Butler and tell him I have seen report of Farmers' Club meeting. The ships and steamers arranged for are now in or arc regular traders in Australian waters. The shipping companies invariably charter and our contractors arrangement has simply superseded this. Wheat cargoes will not be carried here, this is merely a yarn started by shipping companies to scare. The first parcel of wool, under new arrangements, will be shipped via Sydney per steamer at i;th through bill of lading in a few days. The shipping companies have announced that they will not carry at our rates fiom Auckland unless we have a ship trading there."
