Auckland, Lust Night. Dr. Ci>ifi"OßD, interviewed by a temperance deputation to-day, said that in England a number of willing workers, who were taking the place of those removed by death, but, added the doctor, the English people are rather dense, and nothing except an Act would touch them, lie hoped that New Zealand would set them the example of Prohibition, and thus lead them as they did in other reports.
