A CURE FOR CANCER.

A coRKKsroxDEXT asks a contemporjry to publish the following alleged cure for cancer, with a request that any of our readers who know anything about it may write to us :

The rumour that a Russian physieian had discovered a cure for cancer has taken a definite form, and it is now stated that tho remedy is found in tho Cbelidonium majus>, which is known as greater coladine, or swallow-wort. It possesses a milk/, saffron-coloured juice, which is used by peasants for the destruction of warts. The first time that Dr Denisenko drew attention to the cure he merely asserted that it could bo employed with satisfactory results against the external growths of cancer, just as the peasants used it against warts, and for removing specks on tho cornea. A new communication of bis Ins just appeared, in which bo further maintains that it can be taken internally with excellent effect. For this purpose, however, it must be specially prepared, as the juice in its natural state contains two potent poisons. Dr Deuiseuko describes seven cases of cancer which ho has treated by meaus of swallowwort juice. Four of these were external cancerous growths upon which a surgical operation was, for various reasons, out of tho question. The photographs of the results which tho pyhs r ciau has published, together with the article, show the effects of tho Chelidonium maju-=, which finally removed every trace of the cancer.
