CABLE SUMMARY.
News has been received of the suicide of Barney Barnato, the well-known South African millionaire. He was a passenger from Capetown to England, and when the Eteaaer was at Funchalj Madeira, Barnato threw himself overboard. His body was recovered, but life was extinct. Barnato had been in failing health for some time past. The attempted assassination of President Faure is believed to have been either the act of a madman or a hoax.
