OPENING OF MASONIC HALL AT P AERO A.

On Tuesday afternoon the Masonic Hall, recently built at Paeroa, by Lodge Ohinemuri, No. 107, was opened and consecrated in the presence of a large number of meml ers of the craft. The consecration ceremony was conducted by the Grand Superintendent of the Auckland District, Bro. A. G. Bartlett, who was attended by a number of Grand Lodge officers. Bro. S. D. llanna, P.S.G.D., acted as Director of Ceremonies, and under Irs direction the proceedings passed oil'with great eclat. An interesting and able address on the principles and objects of Freemasonry was delivered ' by Bro. G. Fowlds, P.D.G.M. The building, a handsome two-storied one, is situated in Normanby Road, and will add considerably to the appearance of the town. The ground floor is occupied by tuo shops iu ihc front with ollicc at the back, while the whole of the upstairs parts will be uscel for Masonic matters. This portion consists of a lodge room 40 by 25, committee and supper room -11 by 14, and spacious candidates' and anterooms. The who'e of the work has been most tasteful'y uairied out, and the Lodge is to be congratulated on the possession of so fine a property In the evening a ball was held to celebrate the event, at which over 300 were present, anel a most enjoyable time was spent
