TltK Royal Dublin Fusiliers, at. present quartered at Simla, have received orders to proceed to Capetown. Germany has protested against tho sugar duty imposed under tho Dingley Tariff' of the United Stales of America, as being equal lo a b unity, and llirca ■ tens to retaliate. The Colonial Consignment Company offer free storage, and to undertake the work of distribution, of Australian meat sent Home lo provide a Jubilee dinner for the poor. Addressing tho British Chamber of Commerce in Paris, Sir Edmund J. Monson, the British Ambassador, suggested tho renewal of the entente between Britain and France. British Ministers, he said, wore striving- to gain this end.
