At the Hamiltrn Borough Yaids on Thursday, an average cituuitity of cattle were brought forward, including the usual heavy supply of beef. Hairy cows were also well represented, mil competition was fairly brisk. We quote: Maize on wharf, 2s Sd bushel, ex store 3s ; feed oats, 2* Sd, seed oats 2s lOd ; bran, £3 15s ton ; oaten chaff, £2 10s to £2 15s ; Poverty Bay rye grass, 5s Gd to Os ; cocksfoot, OS 9d to 7s. Horses : There have been no auction sales. Avery limited number changed hands privately, and there has been no indication of an advance in value. Wool, hides, skins, tallow, bones : The sales were held in Wednesday instead of Tuesday. Fair quantities were disposed of at the Durham Yards. Cattle : A steady demand has existed for all classes with a. slightly depressing tendency in prices for young stores.
