<► A COMPROMISING LETTER. London, April 6. At the Transvaal Raid. Committee. War Office officials produced a private letter, written by Sir John Willoughby to the office, which stated that the officers went into the Transvaal because Dr. Jameson ordered them. It also stated that Dr. Jameson asserted that the Imperial authorities had assented to the rlespatch of the raiding force. Sir John Willoughby declined to reveal the statements made to him by Dr. Jameson, alleging they were private. The Committee advised Sir John Willoughby to re-consider this decision.
