Gisjsornk, Last Night. Heavy rain has put the rivers in high flood. The river Waipao overflowed its banks at Pauparae aim Ormond, but not much damage was done. At Nelson's freezing works the dam was carried away. The fresh in the rivers prevented the steamers Te Anau and Dingadee being tendered last evening. They were detained here till this morning. Napier, Last Night. Heavy rain set iu on Friday night aud continued unabated all Saturday and at intervals on Sunday. Reports from Pakowhai, fapakura, Meanee and o f lier places show that in those localities the water, when the flood was at its highest, was several feet deep. The river Tutaskuri rose three feet in seven hours on Saturday. The Taupo road is blocked, two approaches to the Valley being washed away. Landslips are reported in various part 3 of the district.
