A CORRECTION.
* TO the editor. Sir, —In your report of Mr Hunter's sheep fair of Wednesday, 17th hist., I notice a statement which, if not corrected, gives a wrong impression of our district to your readers, to the effect that " seven or eight pens of sheep were ticketed for dipping, they were all the property of one owner, and belonged to ibe Waingaro district." The bulk of these sheep came from the Scotchman's Valley and had only a few from Waingaro mixed with them. It scorns singular after this statement that out of about 1000 sheep and lambs sent from our district, and most of' them about the poorest that could be found in Waingaro, none were condemned to be dipped. It may not be known to you that our wool yields have been very satisfactory this season, cue flock of ordinary sheep (050) averaging B}lb. I am, etc., Jno, Allun.
