Dairy cows were in demand and better worth. Young cattle kept late; value-. Grown cattle at lower prices. At Remucra on Thursday dairy cattle in moderate numbers were no better worth. Store cattle fairly represented. For young cattle there was a good enquiry. Fres-h cows wcie also in demand. Three year steers at L'.'i each. Calves in full number ; 70 sold were lor.er in price. Fat cattle in full number ; 24') sold were at steady values throughout the sale. Steers brought from 'lSs to 20s the 1001 b. The Show oxen brought £ls ]<).* and £ll 10s. Fat sheep plentiful : 1520 sold were better worth than last week near Is each. Lambs in full number : 440 sold fairly kept previous values. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, the butchers' pens were lilted, and the renuining one only moderately so. Theie wis a considerable range in prices of beef, but good competition throughout the sale.
