(HI TELEORArH. —OWN correspondent). Auckland, Last Night. A post mortem examination made today on the body of Henry S. Myers, who died suddenly at the Imperial Hotel on Saturday, shewed that death was cau'ed by fatty defeneration of the heart. A man, about 55 years of age. whose name is unknown, dropped dead in Customs-street East this morning. The body was afterwards removed to the morgue pending the Counter's imprest this afternoon. Deceased had grey whiskers and moustacle, blue <-yes, and thin features, and was of medium build. He was dressed with dark tweed trousers and dark sac coat, with yellow tartan vest, red check shirt, blucher boots ami black bow tfc, with white spots. A letter was iound on him addressed to William I'ender, care of Eusfell, Tanp;tki. Amongst his other effects was a railway return ticket to Taupaki. The market opened with a slightly better feelini; to-day, although the volume of transactions was stilt small. Waihi South shares advanced in price with salts at 2s 3d, and still further buyers at 2a Id. Crowns were wanted at 475. He would protect the rights of all who had pegged out and be would try and see fair play for all, but some would have to be prepared to give and take. Anyone touchinn leases now must do so under the new Mining Act. He had been informed that they were pegging out one on top of another. In this case those concerned would have to fight the matter out before the Waiden. The deputation thanked the Minister anil withdrew. Mr Jackson Palmer introduced a deputation consisting of Messrs James Mnckuy, Whallcy, and Bishop, relative to Pakirnrahi No. 1 Block (freehold). The spokesman of the deputation asked that the same concessions for mining puri oses be granted to No. 1 Block as those granted to No. 2 Block. Mr Qui man said he had no power to interfere in the niat'er. The Block was the property of the Kauri Timber Company lor !)() years, however, those interested could deal with the Kauri Timber Company. The Minister also received several private deputations, and will be again in attendance to-morrow.
