Lots were generally cleared. We quote : Heavy draughts, from .€l2 10s to £25 10s ; medium draughts, £0 15s to ;CIU 10s. ; light, harness, £H 10s to £l2 15s ; hacks, £3 to £0 15s ; a well-bicd hack, £lO 10s. Wool, iiides, skins tallow, bones : For extra stout oxthere was a keen demand, but for lighter sorts it was not as br'sk as on the previous week. We quote : Extra stout ox hides, oil to 6:[d lb ; stout ox, Sid to 4U\ ; cow and steer, 2Ad tJ 3d ; calfskins, 3.1 to 4d ; tallow, 13s" Od to 14, per cwt ; bones, £.'s pur ton. At Xewniaiket on Tuesday cattle, with the exception of dairy cows, were less numerous than on the nrcvioua week. Ox beef sold fr. in 17s' to Ills 1001 b; cow, 15s to 10s : fat steers from £5 to £S 15i each ; cows, £3 to €5 7s (id. Sheep: A large number were yarded and well competed for at the previous week's values. On Friday, horse stock yarded, numerously, and were in many instances at lower values than for several market* ; in some instances choice animals kept tbeir price, yet ordinary stock were at lower values. Prises for t-trong" draught were from £l2 *.o £34; medium draught, £l2 to ,I'S ; riding-horses from £-3 to £l3 each. On Tue-'day, hides in less than average number, were at lower values than last week. Ox hides were from 3d fcj 4[d; cow hides, 2.U1 tj 3d ; calfskins, 3 : ;d to 4}d lb: fallow, 12s to los cwt; rough fat, 1J I and ljd lb; sheepskins in full supply, kept their values—longwools were from 5s Gd to 7s 101; ciossbreds, 3s to os; lambs. Is Id to Is '.ld; pelts, 7d and Sd each ; crossbred wool, Old ; pieces, 2,d to sd. At the I'ukckohc cattle sale on Monday, stock were yarded numerously; bidding was dull, and prices were lower than at last month's sale. At Rcmuora on Thursday dairy catile were not required; store cattle at late values. Fresh dropped calves were in brisk demand, and veal calves better worth, 52 sold. Fat cattle yarded in fu 1 number, 180 sold were better worth than last week. Prices for good steers were at Ills to £2 the lOOlbs, but secondary qualities were much lower in value. Steers brought fioui £0 10s to £10; cows, £4 to £7 each. Sheep in average numbers, 1000 yarded, weio at last week's values. Fat weathers in their wool were from 10s 9d to 15s; shorn, 8s !!.' to 10s 01; ewes in their wool; Ss to 13i ; shorn, 0-i 0 1 to !>s !)d ; lambs in full number, 270 s ild, were generally of good quality and at lower values. Prices were mostly from (is to 8s each. Pigs in moderate supply. Young pigs dul not bring the extreme values of last week, but porkers and fatted porkers of all classes kept their values ; 80 sold.
