At a special meeting held for the purpose, the Mntainata Road Board was dissolved and a day vppoin'cd for the election of a new Board. Tao'jaokoa Road Bo.vun —ln response to a petition, on the motion of the Chairman, seconded l<y C'r. Hun*, it was decided to abolish the Taotaoroi Roid Board and trerce the Taotaoiva Bo d District in the Piako County. OKDINARY MEETINO. Noktiickoft's Road.—Mr If. \V. Northeroft wrote, asking that the Council might I) ing the matter of his road to a speedv conclusion, and offering to accept £ 100 in settlement of all claims, so as to get the matter fettled.—After a long discussion, the Council decided that Mr Northcrofi's offer be accepted. DliAIN.—Mr Brady, of Gordon, wrote wi li reference to the drain which the Council considered he had cut too deep, lie repudi.ted all liability, and as Cr. Railway Dbaix. The Resident Fngincer wiote regarding the drain at the '27 mile prg, r.nd stated that it would t:ikc too much to cut a drain along the lice, as the 10 d was too low ; he, howivcr, suggested that a divert should be inserted r.nd the roa! level raised.—The matter was left with Cr. Harriscn to arrange. Diagonal Road.—Mr E Y. Several bad spots between Putaruru and the Oiaka bridge required repairing.—He was instructed to have Ihe iv.ccssary work done.

TrcxiJi-.Hs.— The Council resolved to call for tenders rcturrable to Cr. Ilrrison, Lichfield, by (i p.m. on Friday, (ith November, for forming four miles of road on the Tc Aroha- Putaruru Boad, and also for rep wring the Tc ArohaLichfield Road. Dkainixo.— The Cleik of the Waitoa Road Board wrote, stating that as the Board intended clearing oat and deepening about (it) chains of drain between Tc Aroha and Waihou the Council need not get the work done.

SkooNI) Forlmax's Rki'okts —Foreman Wattani stated iu his report that he had had the fascining done on the Gordon-Waharoa Boad, and had let the sanding at Gage-Brown's for £(i. He had authorised Mr Orr to do some extrasto his contract at the Gordon Bridge, and leconimended that he be al'otved the cost of 4 new piles which had to be obtained.instead of second-hand ones.— He had had the sanding done on the To Aroha Boad.—The report was adopted.
