WAHIA SALE. At Ngaruawahia yesterday Mr W. J. Hunter repeats as follows : The yards were well filled with cattle, every pen being occupied. The class was generally good. Bidding was rather slack, but nearly all lines changed hands. Prices were as follows :—Good cows at calving, £4 up to £4 lis; yearling steers, from ,"0s to 30s ; one and a-half and two-year-olds, from £2 5s up to £3 2s Gd ; empty cows and heifers, from £2 IDs up to £3_; weaned calves, mixed sexes, 20s to 27s Oil ; well-bred yearling bulls, £2 10s to £3 2s Od. A few horses were sold at satisfactory prices. AUCKLAND MARKETS. Mi:-si;s Esam and Akthuh's Wekkly REI'OKT. —Produce : Prices generally remain without materia! change. Potatoes are arriving ill supplies about equal to demand. Ecrgs continue sufficient for requirements. Hams and bacon : Reports from the South indicate an advance in prices. Mr Alkxaxdeb Aitken reports a fair amount of business for the past week. Southern potatoes have realised from £3 5s to .t'4 ton ; new potatoes, 1 }rl to 2d lb : onions, local, l|d to '2d lb ; Californian, 3d ; carrots, 20s to 25s ton : pumpkins, 5s Gd to Cs Gd : green peas. 2s to 2s 3d peck ; mangolds, 15s to 20s ; wheat, .'is 6d ; maize, 2s .">J to 2s Gd ; oats, 2s 4(1 to 2s Gd ; sharps, 3s !)d to 4s ; bran, 3s 3d to 3s Gil ; chatf, 3s 3d to 3s Gd ; hay, 3s (id : rabbits. Bacon and hams : AVc cannot report any improvement in this line. Furniture and effects outdoors sold remarkably well.
